Mixing Old and New Tech (Promise Pegasus R4)

When I moved to Mac Studio, I had to bring all the drives to the system since it had no issues with Intel iMac.

As the days goes by, the Pegasus R4 keeps ejecting. Out of frustration, I updated the OS to Sonoma and still no luck.

Today, I decided to clean install with Mac OS Ventura.

Installed driver version 6.2.17 with changing the boot policy… reducing security risk… still no luck.

Until I stumble this updated topic from promise:

But I didn’t update my firmware since I know that my Pegasus R4 is old tech (TB1), and it was updated to the latest firmware from the old iMac.

All I did was set back the Secure Boot policy to Full Security, turn off the Raid or unplug the wires, install the kext driver and 6.2.17.

Don’t worry, there is an installation guide in DEXT Driver in the zip file.
